CHARLES RIVER BANK COLLECTING FOR LOCAL FOOD PANTRIES
Dec 3 , 2012, Medway, MA
As Charles River Bank (CRB) employees hear holiday songs play on the radio or see houses decorated with lights, they are reminded of just how fortunate they are. At the same time, they are also reminded of friends and neighbors who may not be quite as fortunate. For this reason, Charles River Bank is lending a helping hand. During the entire month of December, the bank will be collecting non perishable food items and other supplies in all of three their branch lobbies.
CRB is now reaching out to their customers and community to ask for help. "The Bank's staff is committed to helping those in need, and especially at this time of the year, we are doing what we can to make the holidays brighter for some of our neighbors. We hope that our customers and others will join in on the projects we're hosting, and we look forward to making a difference, together," stated Jack Hamilton, President and CEO, Charles River Bank.
Collection tables have been set up in each of Charles River Bank's branches in Medway, Mendon and Bellingham for anyone to stop by and drop off items during the month of December. Lobby hours are Monday through Wednesday 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, Thursday 8:30 am - 7:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am - 5:00pm, and Saturday 9:00 am -1:00 pm. All items collected at the Medway branch will be donated to the Medway Food Pantry, Bellingham branch collections will be donated to Loaves and Fishes at St. Blaise Parish in Bellingham, and Mendon branch collections will be donated to the Mendon Food Pantry. Non-perishable food items may include canned goods, cereal, baby food, peanut butter, crackers, and pasta. Other items to consider are paper goods, toothbrushes, or even soap. The bank asks that all donations be dropped off at your local Charles River Bank branch by Saturday, December 29, 2012.
